“ Just off the beaten path in Galena, this restaurant has quick table service, excellent food and cold drinks. We had freshly made chunky guacamole, chicken tacos and a chicken burrito suiza. The weather was great so we chose patio seats in the breeze. Make this a must-try on your next stop... ”
“ The margarita flight was my favorite. Get the personal size. You’ll get to taste four flavors and if you want more over another flight. The staff was accommodating for a large group and the service was good. One server for the whole upstairs patio with two large groups and three small tables. She did excellent and other staff helped bring up food and drinks. Each entree was good and large portions. Could have ordered more family style with a few entrees so not to waste the food. With the reservation no wait. ”
“ Dined on a Monday night in April. Host stand greeted me warmly and sat me right away. Ella was my server and was timely, genuinely hospitable. I had the chicken enchiladas with the salsa Verde (mild green sauce) with a side of guacamole. The enchiladas arrived timely and hot. The meal exceeded my expectations by a mile. The beans and rice are as authentic as it gets. The beans were creamy and the rice fluffy, light and had that individual grain texture that many try but fail at. The chicken enchiladas (three of them) were generously portioned, tender, and flavorful. The salsa verde has to be made in house, very fresh and vibrant flavors. And the fresh guacamole was outstanding. Simply prepared, the 3 side was abundant, creamy, with generous chunks of avocado, and the perfect amount of fresh lime juice to give the acidic balance. Do not hesitate to visit this restaurant. I was really impressed the owner was onsite on a Monday night and clearly visible and working to ensure all the guests were happy! ”
“ Amazing, well-run restaurant that has great food and an even better vibe. We came in late Friday night looking for some good Mexican food to satisfy our hunger - and wow did it deliver. The food was great, and promptly delivered after we ordered fresh and hot. Our favorite part, though, had to be the ambiance. It is like no other. Oscar-worthy karaoke performances going on throughout by other people there, and it was truly some of the best I’ve heard. We even got to join in at the end to sing one! If you’re looking for authentic Mexican cuisine and a fun local restaurant to make you happy, look no further than Campeche Restaurant. I can’t recommend it enough. ”
“ We have dined here before and always enjoyed the food, service, atmosphere and margaritas ! We decided to try carryout and we're not disappointed. When I picked up my order I couldn't believe how heavy the carryout bag was! I asked if this was my order and they said yes, one chilie rellenos dinner and one grilled chicken burrito dinner. The food was delicious and homemade chips and fresh salsa was included. The portions are very generous. We saved half of everything for another delicious meal today. We have tried other Mexican restaurants in the area but Campeche is by far the best! ”

“ My husband i and headed here for dinner while visiting Galena. We thought the roof top area was great for the views. We both enjoyed a flight of margaritas which was all delicious! While the queso left a lot to be desired (very thin and runny) the flour tortilla chips for it were very good! We enjoyed their taco special. Definitely chicken over beef was the favorite! Our server was named Savanna and she was wonderful!!! Definitely swing on by to this little gem around the corner, if you ever find yourself in Galena! ”
